I’ve been working in IT for about 25 years, the last ten of which has been spent in Data Protection. I’ve worked for or at most of the major companies in the data storage industry, including Legato, Veritas, Storagetek, EMC, and a business or two of my own. I now work as the Princial Technologist in the Australia/New Zealand region for NetApp and am a Director for SNIA ANZ.

I used to try talking to my wife about technology trends in IT, and she would smile sweetly at me and say “thats nice dear”. Eventually I got the hint, and started writing blog entries instead

All comments to this blog are moderated, mostly because it seems to be the default setting for wordpress and I havent figured out how to identify real human beings from spambots.

This goes completely against my philosophy and as soon as I work it out all comments will be posted automagically. I’ll only pull down or edit something if it’s spam, slander, blatantly offensive and offtopic, or something I wouldnt let my daughter read.
